10 Home Concert Series presents: Tish Hinojosa. Beaux Arts Centre, 102 S. National Ave from 6-10pm. Tish is a singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas. Labeled with Warner Brothers, played Austin City Limits, and played at the White House. Bring a pot luck dish at 6pm, meet the artist, and at 7pm hear her beautiful folk and country songs. $15 at the door, cash wine bar.

11 The Art of Sushi with Itamae Katie Wells. Beaux Arts Centre, 102 S. National Ave. from 2-4pm. Come learn how to make Sushi from Katie Wells. She will teach you the art of Sushi making. The makisu (mats) and chopsticks will be provided for you to take home. The cost for this class is $30.00.

14 Session V of Tae Kwon Do Classes begin at the Buck Run Community Center. Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm - 7:20 pm from February 14th - March 23rd and cost $40 for the 6 week session. 5 years old - adult.

16 FSCC will host speaker Robert McField at 7pm at the Danny & Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center. McField, a 2012 graduate of FSCC, will share his inspiring life story & speak about the numerous obstacles he has overcome in his life. He will also discuss the "2BIG2STOP" mindset that he developed to triumph over the sturggles that he experienced. McField is a former PSU athlete, multiple surgery patient, former level-five maximum security prisoner, & stage-four cancer survivor. He holds a master's degree in human performance and wellness from PSU and currently works for a second program as a behavior interventionist. This event is free and open to the public. 17 Friendship Soup Lunch at First United Methodist Church, 301 S. National from 11:30am-1pm in the church's Fellowship Hall. The men will include chili, soups, desserts, and a drink all for a free will donation. The United Methodist Women would like to invite everyone to attend the February Soup Lunch.

18 35th Annual Spelling Bee. This friendly competition is for 1st through 5th graders. Preliminary rounds will take place in indvidual classrooms. The top spellers in each classroom will meet for the final round in the Buck Run Community Center Auditorium. This challenging activity is set to begin at 8:30am. 18 FSCC Meat Judging Team Soup & Chili Feed, 5:30pm t FSCC East Campus (Armory) 2301 S. Horton Street. The event will feature a soup and chili dinner, live auction, silent auction, and raffle. The Meal will begin at 5:30pm and the auction will begin at 6:30pm. Admission is by donation. Those who wish to donate items can call 620-223-2700 ext. 3540

21 FSCC will host its Cupcakes & Canvases event from 6-8pm in rooms H-136 & 137 of the Danny & Willa Ellis Family Fine Arts Center, 2108 S. Horton. An instructor will show participants how to create a beauitful work of art. The cost per person will be $10; the fee will include a cupcake, refreshments, & painting supplies. 22 FSCC Women's Basketball Team will host is Play4Kay game at 5:30pm at Arnold Arena, 2108 S. Horton Street. The team encourages all attendees to wear pink to the game to support breast cancer awareness. Breast cancer patients and survivors will receive free admission to the game and they will be invited to the basketball court to be recognized during half-time of the game. The team will also sell t-shirts and collect donations for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, established in 2007, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund is a charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers by raising funds for scientific research, assisting the underserved, & unifying peoploe for a common cause. 25 Legislative Update Coffee from 9-10:30am at Mercy Hospital, 401 Woodland Hills blvd. Lower level in Catherine's Cafe. Anyone is invited to attend. State legislators Caryn Tyson & Jake LaTurner as well as Representatives Adam Lusker & Trevor Jacobs will give an update on the current session as well as address any issues or questions presented from the audience.
