10 Home Concert Series presents: Tish Hinojosa. Beaux Arts Centre, 102 S. National Ave from 6-10pm. Tish is a singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas. Label with Warner Brothers, played Austin City Limites, and played at the White House. Bring a pot luck dish at 6pm, meet the artist, and at 7pm hear her beautiful folk and country songs. $15 at the door, cash wine bar.

11 The Art of Sushi with Itamae Katie Wells. Beaux Arts Centre, 102 S. National Ave. from 2-4pm. Come learn how to make Sushi from Katie Wells. She will teach you the art of Sushi making. The makisu (mats) and chopsticks will be provided for you to take home. The cost for this class is $30.00.

18 35th Annual Spelling Bee. This friendly competition is for 1st through 5th graders. Preliminary rounds will take place in indvidual classrooms. The top spellers in each classroom will meet for the final round in the Buck Run Community Center Auditorium. This challenging activity is set to begin at 8:30am.
