DESCRIPTION:2024 TFO Coyote Contest (7th Annual)\n\nSaturday February 3\, 2024\n\n**PRE-REGISTER BY JANUARY 31\, 2024 (REQUIRED)**\n\nPre-register at https://forms.gle/E8cB4rRCXMNksrSv5\n\n-Three Man Teams - Entry Fee $75 per team (Cash only. Same fee applies for 1 or 2 man teams.)\n\n-50% of entry fees will be donated to Care to Share of Fort Scott. Care to Share is a local cancer support non-profit.\n\n-Remaining entry fees paid out to the top two teams: 1st Place Team 60%. 2nd Place Team 40%.\n\n-Most coyotes wins. Tie Breaker is total weight of all entered dogs.\n\n-Side Pots: $10 each\, 100% payout. Biggest Dog\, Smallest Dog.\n\nFinal Registration:\n\n6-7 pm Friday February 2\, 2024 (There will be no alternate registration times available.)\n\nAt the Elm Creek Lake Shelter (Bourbon County). Directions From 69 Hwy: West on Hwy 7. Continue west on Hwy 39 to 140th St. North on 140th 3 miles. Shelter on west side of road.\n\nAt least one member of each team is required at final registration to receive tags and pay entry fees. Full entry fee & side pot entry money due at time of registration. All entry fees are cash only and non-refundable.\n\nCheck-In:\n\n7 pm Saturday February 3 (Cut off time 7:15p SHARP) Same location as Registration. Free hot coffee\, chili and door prize drawings at Check-In. We encourage all teams to come back for check-in.\n\nContest Rules:\n\n-All entered coyotes become property of The Fort Outdoors.\n\n-All coyotes must be called in and harvested during daylight shooting hours the day of the contest.\n\n-Three man maximum.\n\n-Teams must use one vehicle and hunt together.\n\n-No pooling of coyotes between teams.\n\n-No use of traps\, live decoys\, baiting\, running dogs or any form of motorized vehicle.\n\n-Teams must be licensed hunters and follow all state hunting laws.\n\n-All entered coyotes must be tagged per instructions at Registration. No tag equals disqualified dog. No exceptions.\n\n-Broken jaw or trap marks disqualifies dog. No exceptions.\n\nThis contest is intended to be a fun\, family friendly way to raise money for a worthy cause. Please enter with that in mind.
