DESCRIPTION:Fort Scott Presbyterian Village has issued a call for entries for the Art is Ageless juried exhibit to be held March 22 ? April 2\, 2021\, featuring senior artists from the area.\n\nArtists compete in nine categories\, including painting\, drawing\, photography\, quilting and sculpture and may be designated as amateur or professional. The complete rules and category listing is found online at www.ArtIsAgeless.org. Artists may choose to enter their works for exhibit only. For the competition\, works are to have been completed in the past five years (since January 2016).\n\nEntries of artistic works will be accepted from any area artist who is 65 years of age or older to exhibit and/or compete for an opportunity to be featured in the Art is Ageless calendar in 2022.\n\nThe exhibit continues the 40th anniversary of the Art is Ageless program\, which began with the first calendar in 1981. Works to be entered for judging need to be at Presbyterian Village by March 19. A reception honoring the winning artists is planned for 2 p.m. on April 9. Plans remain flexible due to COVID-19.\n\nThe Art is Ageless program encourages Presbyterian Village residents and other area seniors to express their creativity through its annual competition\, as well as art classes\, musical and dramatic events\, educational opportunities and current events discussions throughout the year.\n\nLocal competition winners will join winners from 14 other PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America) communities to be judged at the systemwide level.\n\nEntry forms and information can be obtained by contacting Megan Brillhart at 620-223-5550 or mbrillhart@pmma.org\, or accessed online at ArtIsAgeless.org.
