SUMMARY:Boardwalk BBq 2025 by the friends of Tri-Valley Foundation
DESCRIPTION:Boardwalk BBq is the annual spring fundraiser for the Friends of Tri-Valley Foundation. The event includes a dinner\, auctions (silent\, stretch\, and live)\, and door prizes. All funds raised during the evening goes to provide housing as well as aid in the delivery of services\, such as residential\, vocational\, life enrichment\, and horticultural therapy to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities residing in the Southeast Kansas counties of Allen\, Bourbon\, Chautauqua\, Elk\, Greenwood\, Neosho\, Wilson\, and Woodson.\n\nSince 2001\, the Foundation has acquired 15 houses and one duplex. These sixteen properties are "home" for 81 of our neighbors with I/DD. The homes are a sense of pride to the individuals who reside there\; they are always excited to show off their homes. Each home has given these individuals an opportunity to become more independent and involved within their communities\; they are a part of the community and are not excluded.
