SUMMARY:Bridges out of Poverty Seminar hosted by CORE Community
DESCRIPTION:Please mark your calendars and plan to attend the Bridges Out of Poverty Workshop. This workshop is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT than the Poverty Simulation which was held last August. You will gain many new and different insights about poverty. It is not the same material which was covered during the poverty simulation.\n\n \n\nAll Core Community advisory board members and volunteers are highly encouraged to attend. \n\n \n\nPlease share this flyer and information with anyone else in the community who would benefit from the information. Please share with your small groups\, churches\, civic groups and social media channels. The goal is to have at least 50 community members in attendance. THANK YOU!\n\n \n\nDeb Factor\, the CEO of Youth Core Ministries (YCM)\, will be leading this workshop. It will be a great opportunity for advisory board members and volunteers to meet Deb in person. YCM is the parent organization for Core Community. \n\n \n\nSummary below:\n\n---------------------------------\n\nDo you ever wish you could "peek behind the curtain" and learn some of the "WHY" behind certain puzzling behaviors?\n\n\n\nSolving poverty means that we must first understand the mindset which drives it.\n\n\n\nWho should attend this workshop? Any member of the community who wants a greater understanding of poverty and a plan to alleviate it. This includes: business leaders\, educators\, clergy\, church members\, Core Community advisory board members\, Core Community volunteers\, Law Enforcement Officers\, etc.\n\n\n\nParticipants will review a mental model of poverty\, examine a theory of change\, and analyze poverty through the prism of housing\, the hidden rules of class and resources. Cost includes training materials and book.\n\n\n\nDATE: Saturday\, March 2\, 2024\n\nTIME: 8:30 AM TO 12:30 PM\n\nLOCATION: Fort Scott Nazarene Church\n\n1728 Horton\, Fort Scott\, KS\n\nCOST: $35 (payable the day of event) If the cost is a barrier\, please let me know. We have some other options. \n\n\n\nTo Register email: Cherri Walrod - corebbco.cherri@gmail.com
