National Ave.)\n\n$5 per person. Limited to first 40 people to register - pre-registration required.\n\nMasks required & social distancing to be maintained.\n\n\n\nRegister on fortscott.com/events\, or via the old fort genealogical society at 620-223-3300 or OFGSKS@GMAIL.COM\n\n\n\nStops:\n\n#1  Barnesville Cemetery where flags will be flying at Civil War Veterans headstones ~ stories by Fred Campbell of Barnesville\, the Miracle Mile\, the Stone & the home built from wood of he local store.\n\n\n\n#2  Bridge on Wagon Road\, 1 mile north of Fulton ~ hear the story of the Battle of Osage before driving to the large whirlpool with more local history.\n\n\n\n#3  Stop at Fort Lincoln & Freedom Colony ~ story of Fort Lincoln will be told onsite\, and the story of Freedom Colony will be given before attendees return to their vehicles.\n\n\n\n#4  Mapleton will be the site of the story of the mean old woman & why the name of Mapleton was changed\, Guthrie's Mound will be pointed out where Zeb Pike slept while traveling west & the story of our infamous hanging.\n\n\n\n#5  The final stop will be in the west portion of US National Cemetery No. 1 where Brian Allen will present the Union\, Confederate\, Indian and World War I Veterans who are buried there. Tour will end with Eugene Ware and his story\, with a finale by Ralph Carlson.\n\n\n\nIf tour reservations are full\, go ahead and call or email and we can put your name on a waiting list for the next tour to be scheduled soon!
