DESCRIPTION:2018 Coyote Calling Contest Rules\n\n\n\nTwo Man Teams - Entry Fee $40 per team.\n\n\n\nRegistration:\n\n6-7 pm Friday February 9\, 2018\n\nContractor Network   2522 Richard Rd\, Fort Scott\, KS 66701\n\nAt least one member of each team must register in person. Full entry fee due at time of registration.\n\n\n\nCheck-In:\n\n7 pm Saturday February 10\, 2018\n\nContractor Network   2522 Richard Rd\, Fort Scott\, KS 66701...\n\nBoth members of team must be present at check-in.\n\n\n\n50% of entry fees will be donated to Care to Share of Fort Scott. Care to Share raises funds to support local cancer patients and their families.\n\n\n\nThe remaining 50% of entry fees will be paid out to the top two teams as follows: 1st Place Team 60%. 2nd Place Team 40%.\n\n\n\nWinners will be determined by teams with the most coyotes. In the case of a tie\, coyotes will be weighed and highest total weight will win. If needed\, further tie will be broken by weight of biggest coyote possessed by each team. \n\n\n\nPayout checks will be mailed to winning teams the week following the contest. No money will be on hand or paid out at check-in.\n\n\n\nRules:\n\nTwo man teams only.\n\n\n\nTeams must use only one vehicle and hunt together.\n\n\n\nNo pooling of coyotes between teams.\n\n\n\nTeams must be licensed hunters and follow Kansas (Missouri if applicable) state hunting laws.\n\n\n\nThis is a calling competition. No trapped coyotes allowed   legs will be checked for trap marks. No live decoys\, baiting or use of running dogs.\n\n\n\nAll coyotes must be called in and harvested between first light and last light the day of the contest\, February 10\, 2018.\n\n\n\nMouth blocks & zip ties will be given to each team at registration. When harvested\, time will be written on block\, block attached in mouth and a digital photo taken of coyote with block attached and hunter who harvested. Pictures will be shown at check-in. Time written on block must be visible in photo and block must still be attached at check-in. Specific instructions given at registration.\n\n\n\nAll coyotes must be taken at least 50 ft. from any vehicle including atv.\n\n\n\nMouth calls\, hand calls and electronic calls can be used.\n\n\n\nTeams will take their harvested coyotes with them at the close of check-in.\n\n\n\nPlease be respectful of the general public in regards to transporting coyotes to check-in and the use of digital photos.\n\n\n\nThis contest is intended to simply be a fun\, family friendly way to raise money for a worthy cause. Please enter the contest with that in mind and conduct yourselves with integrity and with respect to the other participants. We hope this is the first of what will become an annual event.
