DESCRIPTION:Matt Harper of Nevada\, Mo.\, will take the stage as the featured performer of this week's Friday Night Concert.\n\nThe free concert begins at 7 p.m. at the Heritage Park Pavilion located at 1st and Main streets.\n\nA performer since the 1990s\, Harper sings and plays guitar and harmonica\, performing a variety of music including\, country\, folk\, jazz\, inspirational\, blues and original tunes.\n\nMatt comes from a musical family. His brother\, Doug Harper\, performed in Fort Scott earlier this season.\n\n"We're always pleased to have Matt Harper perform\," Ralph Carlson\, concert organizer said. "He's an excellent musician and loves to interact with the audience and the audience loves him. If you're looking for a pleasant way to spend a Friday evening\, come join us."\n\nSeating is limit\, so bring a lawn chair. In the event of inclement weather or excessive heat the Friday Night Concerts are moved to the Loading Dock at Common Ground Coffee\, Co.\, at 12 E. Wall St.\n\nThe concert series is sponsored by the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce. Sound is provided by Dave's Music Gear and Jim Butler.
