Veterans Day Service at Fort Scott National Cemetery | November 11 at 11 a.m.

Join VFW Post 1165 and the Fort Scott community in honoring our veterans on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

VETERANS DAY SERVICE

The service will feature local veteran Jim Logan as the guest speaker, with patriotic music provided by the Fort Scott Middle School Orchestra. Everyone is welcome to attend and recognize the service and sacrifices of our veterans.

AVENUE OF FLAGS
Volunteers are welcome to help post the Avenue of Flags beginning at 7 a.m. along the approach to the National Cemetery and throughout the cemetery. Flags will be recovered at 4 p.m. and stored for the winter.

VFW AUXILIARY LUNCHEON
11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
VFW Post 1165, 1745 S. National Ave., Fort Scott

Following the service, join the VFW Auxiliary for chili, chili dogs, cornbread, and a variety of desserts. Free-will donations are appreciated. Carry-out will be available, and all are welcome.
