Open House at The Fort Scott Fire Department
Hello everyone. We have been working really hard setting up an open house this next month. October is Fire Prevention Month and we want to get some information out.
We also have 2 new fire trucks we would like to share with the community. As a thank you for supporting us. We will have them on display to tour. We will at times show how the new aerial truck benefits our community and actually set the truck up to show you its operation.
We will conduct a live kitchen fire demonstration as well to show you the risks associated with them.
The newly renovated fire prevention safety trailer will be available to tour.
Sparky will be walking the grounds.
We may have a few more exciting things in the coming weeks to add.
We have had several businesses step up to assist in this.
Many have donated some public safety items (extinguishers, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, etc) that we will have a drawing for. We will also give out some Fort Scott Fire Department challenge coins and T-shirts.
Big shoutout to Butcher Block. They have generously donated their time and efforts to provide hotdogs during the event. If you could RSVP to the event link so they have an idea on how many to expect that would be great.
We hope to see everyone there and join us. We set the time frame to allow you to come as you please. We will try to do 2-3 demo's during those times to give everyone an opportunity to see.
Thanks again for your continued support and we look forward to sharing our station, equipment, and personnel with you.Date and Time
