Guided Tours of Fort Scott National Historic Site, National Park
Admission to the Fort is FREE!
The Fort offers guided tours with a park ranger on Saturdays and Sundays at 10am and 1pm. The guided tours last approximately one hour.
The Fort buildings and Visitor Center are open daily* from 8:30am-4:30pm for touring on your own.
*Note the Fort is currently CLOSED on Wednesdays & Thursdays due to staffing shortage and the hiring freeze. However, the grounds are open daily from1/2 hour before sunrise until 1/2 hour after sunset to walk and view the outdoor kiosks.
There is a gift shop on site with Fort souvenirs and history books.
National Parks Service passports can be stamped at the Fort.
There is a 20-minute film you can watch in the auditorium that tells the history of the Fort.
