The camping/RV area with electric service is in the middle of the park, in between shelters 3 and 5.
About Us
At over 155 acres, historic Gunn Park is the state’s largest city-owned park.
The campground features 10 sites with 5-amp. Electricity and water along with new picnic benches and fire rings. Electric hookup is $20 per night. Primitive tent camping is $10 per night.
The campground will soon feature new bathrooms and showers.
The facility does not have an RV wastewater dump site (the closest is approx. two miles south at the Bourbon County Fairgrounds).
Gunn Park also features 7 shelter houses which may be rented by contacting City Hall.
There are 2 lakes for fishing, an 18-hole disc golf course, and 8 miles of trails for mountain biking/hiking.
The Marmaton River runs through the back side of the park for bring-your-own kayaking/canoeing.
Money may be left in self-contained box at Gunn Park or mailed to the following:
