• Herbert House Historic Home Tours

  • Behind the Doors of the Historic Herbert House

    Step inside one of Fort Scott’s most distinctive historic treasures! Owners Robert and Ronda Hassig invite guests to experience a special guided tour of the Herbert House, built in 1887 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

    During this approximately 50-minute tour, guests will have the rare opportunity to explore the home’s remarkable architecture, period details and unique history.

    Admission and Tickets

    $10 per person, including sales tax

    Advance ticket purchase is encouraged by clicking "Register" on this page. When purchasing tickets online, please select your preferred tour time.

    Same-day tickets may be purchased online here by credit or debit card or in person at the Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce, 231 E. Wall St. where payments are accepted by credit/debit, Venmo, cash or check.

    Tour capacity is limited, so advance registration is recommended.

    Make It a Fort Scott Getaway

    The Herbert House tour times have been intentionally scheduled so visitors can also enjoy a Fort Scott Trolley Tour, explore historic downtown, visit the Lowell Milken Center for Unsung Heroes, shop, dine and discover more of Fort Scott.

    Trolley tours are offered at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Herbert House admission does not include a trolley ticket; trolley tickets must be purchased separately.
