    About Us

Organized in Fort Scott on October 19, 1911, the Molly Foster Berry Chapter has proudly served our community for more than 114 years. Named in honor of Molly Foster Berry, wife of Revolutionary War patriot Samuel Berry, the chapter is dedicated to preserving American history, promoting patriotism, supporting education, and honoring the legacy of those who helped secure our nation's independence.

For more than a century, the chapter has helped preserve Fort Scott's rich history while making a lasting impact through historic preservation, education, and community service. Today, members continue that tradition by:

    • Awarding local scholarships to area students
    • Supporting Wreaths Across America and honoring our nation's veterans
    • Promoting genealogy, historic preservation, education, and patriotism through volunteer service and community involvement

The chapter meets on the third Wednesday of each month:
    • Odd-numbered months: 12:00 p.m.
    • Even-numbered months: 5:00 p.m.

Whether you're interested in genealogy, historic preservation, education, patriotism, or learning more about your Revolutionary War ancestry, the Molly Foster Berry Chapter welcomes prospective members.
