The Fort Scott Area Chamber of Commerce invites members and guests to a Chamber Coffee hosted by The Fort Scott Public Library, 201 S. National Ave., Thursday, April 10th at 8 a.m. Coffee, juice, and light refreshments will be served.

The Fort Scott Public Library, a Carnegie library in operation since 1891, has been at its current site since 1904. It has evolved significantly from its humble beginnings. Since last year, the library has received a new roof and un-dergone major foundation repairs to ensure that it will continue to be a vibrant part of Fort Scott for years to come.

Mackenzie Kaemmer, a new addition to the youth services staff, is introducing innovative ideas to the department. The library staff and director are eager to continue providing valuable services to the community, ensuring a strong and dynamic future. The library encourages the community to stay tuned for their upcoming events and programs, including new story times, Golden Aces, and the beloved summer reading program.

Chamber members and guests are invited to Chamber Coffee events each Thursday at 8 a.m. to network, make an-nouncements, hear about happenings in the community as well as learn about the host business or organization.
