Join us for a FREE safety workshop to learn more about working safely around power lines.
This Evergy workshop is open to anyone interested in learning more about electrical safety, including farmers & ranchers, maintenance & safety teams, public works employees and all emergency responders.
Date & Time: June 24th • 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Location: Fort Scott Community College Address: 2108 S. Horton, Fort Scott, KS • Workshop begins at Cleaver/Boileau/Burris Hall; live demo to be held in Arnold Rodeo Arena
The safety presentation will cover:
• Kansas Statute & OSHA – It’s the Law!
• Hazards associated with electricity • How electricity effects the human body
• Live Hot Trailer demonstration
• Voltage gradient, touch & step potential
