Fort Scott Broadcasting Celebrates 70 years on the air!
KMDO 1600am signed onto the air October of the year 1954! The same family have owned and operated for 70 years. The 70th birthday party will bring old DJs and office staff and sales people back October 7th -11th. From 6am- 6pm each day of that week will bring special music, interviews, commercials, and fun! Monday Oct 7th will feature all 50’s music, Tuesday Oct 8th will feature all 60's music, Wednesday Oct 9th will feature 70’s, Thursday Oct 10th the 80’s and Friday Oct 11th will feature the 90’s.

Celebrate with us with special guests all week Oct. 7th thru the 11th. We’ll start with a bomb on Monday our own , Pam Hutchison will be in with us at 8 am. Tues., Charlene Keating, Becky Allen and Kirby Ham will have a gab session, Gary and Ron Palmer on Wednesday, Bob and Rick Russell on Thursday, and on Friday Larry Gazaway will be in house and in the studio!
Imagine all of the stories and all of the people that went into seven decades of local broadcasting. WE have special interviews with past employees, lots of well wishes from long time advertisers over the years. Please join us as we celebrate 70 years of broadcasting!
