Girard Medical Center's Narcan Training Event
Girard Medical Center's Narcan Training Event
Girard Medical Center is proud to announce our upcoming Narcan Training event, scheduled to take place on May 24th from 1 to 2 p.m. in the GMC Classroom. This training is designed to equip participants with life-saving skills during the fentanyl epidemic that has been affecting communities nationwide.
What is Narcan, and Why is this Training Important?
Narcan, also known as naloxone, is a medication that can reverse opioid overdoses, including those caused by fentanyl. With the increasing prevalence of fentanyl-related incidents, individuals and communities must be prepared to respond effectively. This training will give attendees the knowledge and confidence to administer Narcan in emergencies, potentially saving lives.
