The Enduring Word Travel Museum Exhibit
A unique opportunity for your group will be available starting Friday the 25th of October and running through. Sunday the 27th of October 2024. A full size working Gutenberg press like that used to print the first ever Bible done using movable type will be on display along with a collection of authentic historical Bibles and other interesting biblical artifacts.
The Enduring World Word Museum of Ft. Worth TX, a non-denominational nonprofit corporation, presents this display and materials across the United States. They will be sharing information and materials on the history and development of the Bible in English. We think your residents, staff, and friends will enjoy this opportunity to experience this unique historical display. You are invited to schedule a time for your group to attend this donation only event by calling 620-223-2986. The location is at the First Southern Baptist Church, 1818 S Main St. Fort Scott, KS 66701. There is adequate parking space and a no-step entry at the SE parking area where handicapped parking and bus parking is available. Free group reservations can be made for Friday and Saturday morning tours between the hours of 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM and afternoon tours Friday and Saturday between the hours of 5:30 and 6:30 PM. Also tours are on Sunday at 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The walk-through Exhibit will be open from. 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM Friday and Saturday and 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Sunday. The Exhibit will be open on a walk-in basis with Exhibit presentations at 1:30 PM each day. Come and join us for this once in a lifetime opportunity and unforgettable event.
