Community Conversation on Early Childhood in Kansas
HOW CAN WE GIVE ALL KANSAS KIDS THE BEST START IN LIFE?
Kansas leaders want to hear from YOU!
Please join a Community Engagement Session to share your thoughts and experiences.
Family friendly, children welcome! One hour public session.
The event is open to anyone who is passionate about the future of Kansas children and families. Parents (of babies, toddlers, and young children), community leaders, health providers, early childhood providers, members of the business community, elected officials, and other interested parties are all encouraged to participate in these community conversations.
This information will help Kansas create a strategic plan for early childhood. Attendees will be asked to share thoughts about:
* What is happening in your community to support parents, babies, toddlers, young children, and families that we should celebrate and grow?
* What areas are challenging and need more support and/or attention?
* How would you guide a family to resources and services in your community?
* What are your family’s experiences?

"We are excited to hear the voices of Kansas communities on how we can best support and strengthen our early childhood system. A reminder that the purpose of these sessions will be to bring together key voices from your community to talk about what they need and want from their early care and education system. The sessions are just about one-hour long, and will include small table discussions around what is happening in your community to support parents/caregivers, babies, toddlers, young children, and families. We will also have a table set up to collect individual stories of families through the Our Tomorrows project at each session. We invite you to share broadly with partners, early childhood stakeholders, parents/families, community champions, business leaders, and other key voices and leaders in their community. We want the voices of all in your community! You can also share the website link - http://kschildrenscabinet.org/early-childhood-initiatives-in-kansas-2019/. Click on the “Join us in your Community” link on this page, and you will be able to see all locations and information updated in real-time as it is finalized. Please feel welcome to check back on this page often for updates!"
