Freedom 5K & 1 Mile Firecracker Fun Run/Walk
Freedom 5k and Firecracker Fun Run/Walk to benefit Wreaths Across America sponsored by Smallville Crossfit.
Kick off your Independence Day celebrations with a fun run/walk and earn your holiday cookout indulgences all while showcasing your patriotism and supporting our vets! Proceeds from this year's event will go to the local Wreaths Across America organization which places wreaths at the National Cemetery during the holidays. Prizes (donated by Jake's Fireworks on Old 54 Hwy) will be awarded for first, second, third and MOST PATRIOTIC! So come dressed in your best red, white and blue!
The First Annual Freedom 5K race on July 4 will begin from the entrance of Gunn Park at 8 a.m., with the 5k, looping around the park twice.The 1-mile kid’s run will begin at the same point, turn back at the second pond and make a small loop around in front of Shelter 1 before heading back to the entrance of the park.Parking for the event is available at FSCC’s Burke Street Campus parking lot.
