Summer Concert Series, Concert in the Park at Heritage Park Pavilion, 1st & Main Downtown Fort Scott, bring a lawn chair - limited seating available: this week featuring Matt Harper, guitar, vocal and harmonica.
This Friday night at The heritage Park Pavilion will feature Matthew Harper who is from Nevada. He is married to Sammantha and has three children. He has been playing and writing music for 21 years. As a singer/songwriter, he has shared the stage with many wonderful musicians over the span of his career. Some of these include opening for David Allan Coe and Brewer and Shipley as well as countless others.Matthew got his start in a local/regional band as the rhythm guitarist and songwriter. After three years, Matthew moved on to begin a writing and recording solo, and released his first solo effort on Purple Shed Records in December 2000.He released three more solo albums and numerous EPs and singles as well as many high quality demos. His recordings will be available for sale at his show.In 2006/7 he toured on his magic bus tour, which included many venues throughout seven states. He is currently working on a new album which will be released in the summer of 2017.Mathew says that he was influenced by Steve Earle, Willie Nelson, jerry Jeff Parker, Tom Petty, Paul Simon, The Eagles ,Bob Dylan, the beatles and many others.Matthew will be joined by David Prickett, one of our regular musicians.The weather is predicted to be good with sunshine.
