About Us

Paws and Claws is a small, grassroots non-profit animal shelter located in Bourbon County, Kansas.

We provide temporary shelter to dogs and cats who have been abandoned, neglected, or who are in need of rehoming.

As a 501c3 non-profit, we rely on donations to cover our expenses. Contact us to find out more about donating and supporting Paws and Claws.

We are not an open admissions shelter. If you have an animal in need of rehoming, please call the shelter to be placed on our intake list. All dogs are placed in foster homes, so intake waitlist can be 2-3 months. Cats are housed at our location, but space is limited.
